• Pre-order and booking details: the vehicle you are interested in, your budget, preferred specifications, auction approvals and other information recorded in the booking form, quotation, invoice or other official documents.
• Identity and import documents: where required for vehicle import, customs clearance, bank/LC processing or BRTA registration, we may collect copies of your National ID (NID) or passport, TIN certificate, address, photographs and related documents.
• Payment information: records of payments made to us, such as amount, date, payment method and transaction reference. Card and mobile wallet details entered on the online payment gateway are handled by the payment provider (see Section 6).
• Bank loan information: if you purchase through a bank loan, information needed to coordinate with your bank, such as loan approval and payment commitment documents.

• Usage and device data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, search terms used on our website, time and date of visit, referring website and approximate location.

• Technology and marketing service providers – such as our website hosting provider, Google and Meta, to operate our website and measure advertising.
• Legal requirements – where required by law, court order or a lawful request from a government authority, or to protect our legal rights.

6. Online Payments

Online payments on our website are processed through SSLCOMMERZ, a licensed payment gateway in Bangladesh. When you pay online, your card, mobile banking or internet banking details are entered on the payment gateway’s secure page and are processed by the payment provider. Car Theory BD does not store your full card number or payment credentials. We only receive and keep payment confirmation details such as amount, date and transaction reference.

7. Data Retention

We keep your personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy. Booking, invoice, payment and import records may be kept for longer where required under the tax, customs, banking and other applicable laws of Bangladesh, or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
